Efforts to care, protect, and improve the environment place the minimization impact of waste generation as one of its main goals. Nowadays, Circular Economy cornerstones are the key tool for society, public institutions, and private companies to take on today’s challenge.

Like any philosophical action, Circular Economy not only requires the community commitment but also needs effective and sustainable tools to carry out concrete actions. Thus, effective means to obtain the required material results. At this point, we think there are two key factors for this purpose: technological progress and efficiency improvements in engineering and processes. This is our action area: bold technological innovation and sophisticated engineering applied to biowaste management.

Efficient Hygienization

We are all aware that treatments like ours, which help hygienize the organic fraction of waste, play a fundamental role today. Hygienization is a process where treatment is applied to organic waste with the aim of modifying its physical, chemical and bacteriological properties until it becomes a new secondary raw material. However, a hygienization treatment must meet at least three requirements to make a significant contribution to the organic waste sector:

Solid Engineering: the machines to be used for hygienization process should be at the forefront of industrial engineering, achieving optimization in all of its components. This is how process efficiency and results, better safety conditions, and potential investment reliability can be ensured.

Treatment capacity: Organics represents the largest fraction of MSW. Facing the challenge that waste management implies, requires technologies and engineering development capable of treating great amounts of waste in the shortest possible time.

Environmental care: a waste treatment plant that uses this kind of treatment must ensure emissions minimization while controlling and optimizing water and energy consumption. A technology developed to provide a solution to the organic waste problem and support environmental protection that assures no additional environmental impacts.


From Worldwide Issue to Global Opportunity

Biowaste transformation by applying a hygienization process brings decisive advantages, both from the safety and circular economy point of view.

First of all, the hygienization process is responsible for a clean and stabilized and safer handling of the material thus reducing the risks associated with waste management working in treatment plants. Second, it contributes decisively to tackle the risk of landfill collapse. Finally, the material properties of the secondary raw material obtained after hygienization promote circularity through recycling and improve renewable energies production such as biogas.
